Only words

In the name of Almighty Allah the Wise, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficient and the All-Knowing!All praise be to Him!


Only words might prove to heal
the many wounds my broken heart conceals,
a little kindness reflected in speech
reaches to touch desires that lie deep,
buried beneath sweet whispers
that to betrayal and dejection,
painful and over-whelming apolgies
that spell the word rejection.

Only words can sometimes stab
an innocently wishful heart to death.
Shatter many incredible dreams
that love would always encourage.
Childish actions, grave reactions
companions in life's reality
Weakness lies in cruel punishment
not in forgiveness and humanity.

Only words can sometimes weave,
tales of wonderful escapades,
worlds where broken hearts
can be nursed back to health,
where the rain from the
watering can of the gardener flows;
where dewdrops can be tasted
from the petals of flowers.

Only words can be my strength,
the arrows in my bow,
my sword that severes
all the shadows of doubt.
With only words I can conquer
all the hearts in this world
pierce through the darkness
with a single enlightening thought.
I am a writer
and with just the power of words
I can move the world
cleanse the souls
that have been buried
under the dirt of time.
Just my words can end wars,
instill vigour into the people of the world.
My words can create an escape
into a world that if free
where what I am is accepted
for whatever I can be
with my words I can revolutionize
the many lives lived with me.
Hard isn't it to realise
the great force of only words?
