Persian:  Aashiqaan ra dard e baymarham khush ast
              Baydilaan ra deeda e pur nam khush ast
Urdu:      Aashiqoun ko dard e baymerham hay khush
              Baydiloun ko deeda e pur nam hay khush

English:=== The lovers seem to like the pain
                  They do not mind to cry in vain
                                                    -

Persian:  Ger sukhan dar goosh e jaanaan meerasad
              Guftogoo e her keh dar aalam khush ast
Urdu:      Baat koie jab bhee jaanaan ki karay
              Guftogoo e husn e do aalam hay khush

English:=== They cannot talk about the girls
                  And tell you not about their curls
                                                    -

Persian:  Gar butaan az dard e ushshaq agahand
              Her kuja dardayst baymerham khush ast
Urdu:      Ho butoun ko dard say ger aagahi
              Dard jitna bhee ho baymerham hay khush

English:=== They also want their loves to know
                  Whatever hardships they undergo
                                                    -

Persian:  Jaan e mun aazaar e dil chandeen majoo
              Khud dar in ayyaam dilha kum khush ast
Urdu:      Jaan e mun aazaar aur is ko na day
              Aajkal yeh dil mera kuchh kum hay khush

English:=== They ask their darlings not to hurt
                  And not to treat them like dirt
                                                    -

Persian:  Zulf ra behr e Khuda shaana mazan
              Ham chunaan aashufta o darham khush ast
Urdu:      Zulf ko apni na ker aaraasta
              Yeh lagay aashufta o darham hay khush

English:=== And when they see their flying hair
                  They tell themselves - beware, beware!

Persian:  Wasl e to khush bood waqtay ween zaman
              Nakhushiha e firaaqat hum khush ast
Urdu:      Wasl ki lazzat say behter kuchh naheen
              Per gham e furqat naheen kuchh kum hay khush

English:=== Their beautiful faces they want to see
                  But if they cannot, they let it be
                                                    -

Persian:  KHUSRAVA baa baydili khu kun keh dil
              Ham dar an gaisoo e kham dar kham khush ast
Urdu:      KHUSRAVA baa baydili khu ker keh dil
              Reh kay der gaisoo e kham der kham hay khush

English:=== And KHUSRO also does not care 
                  As long as his heart is caught in the hair
