                                            Ghazal 90


Persian:  Aey keh roo e to hayaat e jaan ast
              Deeda jayat shuda ja e aan ast
Urdu:      Roo e roushan tera, aey jaan, hayaat e jaan hay
              Chashm e jaadoo teri lay jaay walay eimaan hay

English:=== Your charming eye is the source of life
                  Though every lash is like a knife 
                                                  -

Persian: Mah ra az rukh e chu khursheedat
            Dar shab e chaardaham nuqsaan ast
Urdu:    Aaftaab e rukh e tabaan say teray mah ko bhee
            Khouf e sharmindagi o waswasa e nuqsaan hay

English:=== Your face does shine like the sun at noon
                  And gives the glow to the radiant moon

Persian:  Sukhan ander lab e to dil baburad
              Dil cheh baashad, sukhan ander jaan ast
Urdu:      Sukhan e talkh jo noosheen hay dahan maen taeray
              Lab pay aaay toe banay aur bhee noosh e jaan hay

                  Likes the drops of honey they collect and drip

Persian:  Bay labat her lab e lalay keh gazam
              Sangraiza ba teh dandaan ast
Urdu:      Katta houn kabhee lab ger maen siwa lab kay teray
              Sangraiza wo banay aek teh dandaan hay

Persian:  Ba gah e giya sawaad e chashmam
              Teera goie keh shab e baaraan ast
Urdu:      Zaar o girya say shab o roz sawaad e deeda
              Ho gya taar bohat shakl e shab e baaraan hay

              In ba guftan, sanama, aasaan ast
Urdu:      Too jo kehta hay karoun ishq maen aasaan dil per
              Yeh na kehnay say kissi kay bhee hua aasaan hay

              Keh dilash sookhta e hijraan ast

              Dil hua us ka bohat sookhta e hijraan hay
