COURAGE

Unwanted, yet crystal clear,
engraved in my scarred memory--
The night his shadow hovered near;
pulling, forcing, hurting me!

My soft, thin arms powerless
against the monster masked as man.
Battered soul, torn dress, hair a mess;
when he was done with his plan.

My enemy, a tyrant--
pretending, controlling and wise!
Good at acting kind and pleasant,
but he's Satan in disguise!

Even so, I won’t falter.
I can't put a stop to this hate!
Not 'til I'm able to alter--
my ruined life, cruel fate.

He will be punished and pay,
for the terrible things he's done.
Soon, I'll get my revenge, my way!
Looking for pardon? There's none!
