Stronger
Commemorating the anniversary of what made me stronger.

I've always been a fighter,
I won't ever give in.
Things will get brighter;
Soon enough I'll grin.

I'm not made of glass
So I will not break.
I'm so full of sass
This, too, I can shake.

I will not crumble.
I will not fall.
I may stumble,
But I will again stand tall.

I will take the time,
To stop and enjoy;
Continue this climb
And to reap in the joy.

*Flower3*  A poem to commemorate the 11-year anniversary of the night I almost died (March 13, 1997).  It really put life into perspective for me.  I look at it as not only the day I almost died, but also as the day I started living.  I'd like to think I'm a better, stronger person because of it.

*Note1*  Entered in "TRADITIONAL POETRY CONTEST Round 43.
