I closed my heart and barred the way
Then shut my eyes and blocked my mind; I did not want to feel at all, To love I was completely blind. But when you came that fateful day You looked at me and spied my soul, For in my haste to lock out love I left a microscopic hole. Your love poured from your soul to me, Then slowly travelled through my veins; It bravely journeyed to my heart, Fought battles with my many pains. It chipped away at armour, strong, As I began to weaken, sway, It broke right through into my heart And so, you see, love found a way.
