A Rose in the Dark
I wonder if people actually feel this way????

The innocence still looms.
"Sunny light, for sullen and gloom." ***
The flower, which nobody knows,
that this flower is actually a rose.

Another still and silent night alone.
Up and lonely this rose has grown.
Unnoticed by the passing crowd.
Even though its colors are loud.

Unnoticed even as a seedling.
Unknowing of what it's bringing.
Precious little hands grasp tight.
But, I don't fuss or put up a fight.

For where I will go will be okay.
And I'll get to see the light of day.
As my stem bends I soon break.
After awhile I do not ache.
