Pinpin, The Family Friend

Pinpin.She celebrated her 38th birthday last March 10 this year, that was five days
ago.She is married with three children, two girls and one boy.She lives with her husband and her children in the across island of Negros about forty minutes by a motor boat from our village.She is charming with a brown complexion and could sing and play the guitar very well.

Why I have to write this article ? What made her very special that I need to let the whole world know about her.Her gifts are amazing and you may conclude it is so good to be true.But it is the truth!

Christianity was one of the greatest legacy the Spanish Regime has given to us  the
Filipinos.When Magellan discovered the Philippines in March 16, 1521, he brought
along some Spanish Friars or priests that spreads Christianity to our nation.At present every village in our country has a chapel and every town has a church as well as the big cities all over the Philippines.In every chapel or every church there is
a Patron Saint.Each year, each village, town and city would have a fiesta celebration
as a form of Thanksgiving to the Patron Saint of that particular area.

PINPIN has a chapel beside her house.The Patron Saint is Senor San Roque.San
Roque is a proven Saint for the sick people.PINPIN is in one way or the other very
much connected to Senor San Roque.

Senor San Roque is the Patron Saint that has a dog beside him.The story about
Senor San Roque is that he was a volunteer in helping the persons who were affected by leprosy.Leprosy is contagious and eventually San Roque was also affected.San Roque was staying in a small room and there was a dog who kept on visiting him bringing him bread for him to eat.The dog licked his skin and it was said
that the owner of the dog wondered why the dog was always out and bringing bread
in his mouth.It was discovered that the dog went to San Roque to attend to him.
The skin of Senor San Roque that the dog was licking was also healed.That is the
brief history I learned about Senor San Roque.

PINPIN and Senor San Roque are connected.It is the spirit of Senor San Roque
who does the healing according to PINPIN, not her.

So many people were cured.One example is my younger brother who is presently
a Math Professor in our Town University.That was last year.He was hospitalized
for about a week.He has a difficulty walking.The  doctor diagnosed it as ostoporiosis.It has something to do with his bones and arthritis.He would always
cry in pain.He checked from the hospital even if he was not healed.The pain was
severe he had a difficulty sleeping.We brought him to PINPIN.

My brother stayed for two nights and he was sleeping inside the chapel of Senor
San Roque.The first night he stayed there, he slept like a baby without any pain
interruptions.The following day and night he was given some herbal teas and the parts of his body that he complained of severe pain was massaged with some oils
made by PINPIN.My brother BOY said the pain was gone like magic.That was last year.Now my brother is back in his teaching job and some of the professors who
had complained of several illness were also healed.

I was having a mild stroke last March 01, two weeks ago.The doctor prescribed me
a medicine it worked yet I still could not stand fully without holding on a chair or anything I could hold because I felt my knees were so weak to lift my body.I went
to PINPIN'S place along with my mother, my husband, and some members of the
family.PINPIN was touching my left hand and I screamed in tears.The pain was so
intense I was crying unashamedly without words from my mouth due to pain.She pulled my hairs and told me I am  going to be okay.True to her words, I am now
back to my normal self.I even went to the garden, pick a single rose for Mama Mary
in our altar and checked with the gumamelas or hibiscus that are so beautiful as
it blooms.Yes, I feel I am okay now.The numbness of my left face is now gone.I was
paralyzed ten years ago.We did not know PINPIN at that time because we were
living in the city.It took me more than a month before I could stand by my own feet.
Now I am fully healed "like magic" to quote my younger brother BOY's words.

I put my trust in the LORD completely.I also believe in modern science.My heart,
my soul and my mind strongly believe in the intercession of the Saints in heaven
as well as MAMA MARY's help in time of need as a MOTHER of PERPETUAL
HELP.I ALSO BELIEVE IN ANGELS SOME OF THEM ARE IN HUMAN FORM
GUIDING, HELPING AND PROTECTING.

As I write this my sister-in-law the wife of my other younger brother Nelson was telling me this afternoon that some of the sick people from the town proper are
right now seeing PINPIN and making their courtesy call or respect as they ask
to be healed by Senor San Roque.I am sure they will be back with happy faces
free from pain.

I am not to live forever in this world, we all are going to die that is a fact that we
cannot deny.For as long as I am still alive and knowing that there is someone special family friend who is willing to share her blessings to heal through the
help of Senor San Roque then I would never hesitate to see PINPIN if by doing
so I could extend my borrowed time here on earth.
