Monotetra poem for Spring

A Spring monotetra for the "Stretch YOur Style" poetry challenge

While winter's wicked grasp does wane
To soothing summer once again
the rivulets of rushing rain
wash clean the plain, wash clean the plain

Now freed from cold and bleak terrain
sweet blossoms soon their heads will crane
to feel the sunshine's sweet refrain
oh joy acclaim, oh joy acclaim!
