In the name of Almighty Allah the Wise, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficient and the All-Knowing! All praise be to Him!

A time for healing
is finally here
a moment to stop
and calculate our
actions and reactions.

A time for healing
has finally brought
better solutions
to end wars
than starting them.

Let words be the balm
that heal every wound
let your love sew
every torn heart
back together.

Let unity frighten those
who sabotage the peace
created by those to whom
is dear everyone on earth
equally.

We may be different people
following different faiths
but does not everyone's heart
beat, feel and cry
as one?

A single life lost
was of his son,
her father,
her husband
and perhaps your brother
as a fellow human.

A time for healing
is here at last
let's heal with enlightenment
let's save another innocent hand
from carrying illiteracy's weapon.

Heal with what you can give,
heal with things that can be shared
articles that cost not tupence
and so still are expensive
that beyond touch.

Love, education and equality
things that require great promotion
a some part for us to play
with much needed devotion;
let's not let time once again
fly right out of our hands
try just once more
to take that instrumental step,
strengthen the diminishing power
of learning, knowing and understanding
just to gain
what we left back then with heartless enthusiasm
in our fiscal run
simple but truthful words
that allowed us to care,
to share, regardless of
colour of skin
black or white, Hindu or Muslim
did not concern our love
Those were the words
that meant world peace.

May Almighty Allah the Wise, the Most Merciful, the Most Beneficient and the All-Knowing bless and protect us, Amin! All praise be to Him!
