Prologue
...I can’t remember how this started, or why, but they started becoming...  “disobedient” and out of control..

I’ve destroyed all my Poké Balls, and the Pokémon that were within them, for if my Pokémon were to become like the others, I would have a very little chance of survival...

I don’t think I’m going to survive this research trip much longer, for I have sighted the most powerful Pokémon yet, who I strongly believe is commanding every single one...
I’m also lead to believe that he knows of me, and that I know of him, for he commanded several Hitmontops to search a cave...

A cave where I was formerly hiding...

---

It seems I am in luck, for today I discovered there are still Pokémon who are still friendly. They have brought me into their hideout.

Their leader, another powerful and legendary Pokémon, tested me to see if I was on their side... I passed...

The leader can communicate with me using perfect English, using telepathy, and has told me that, although limited, there are other friendlies scattered across the various regions. Somehow, I must inform Professor Oak...

A team Pidgeot requested that he pass on the message, but I told him that I do not wish for him to be harmed, and that I do not wish for him to risk his life for something that my colleague may already know.

But, I am glad to have earned the team’s trust...
It’s keeping me alive...

---

I returned from my field research to a most terrible scene today.

All my Pokémon friends... destroyed...

But it seems the leader made it out alive, for I cannot find him among the wreckage...

It is clear the enemy’s getting closer and closer...
I must flee before they find me...

I’ll leave this and my previous two journal entries in hope that the leader returns, or someone on our side finds these, and comes to assist me...

Rest In Peace my friends...

Several people in lab coats surrounded the document and various other objects.
“Incredible...” said one
“Indeed...” said another, “Elm probably never would’ve thought...”
“But he was a great Pokémon professor.” said another, “Why did he destroy his Pokémon?”
“You read it. He was afraid...”
“But it makes no sense for him...”
“So he escaped..?”
“Yes, but he didn’t survive...”
“ENOUGH!!!” came a loud voice, “We must continue looking for clues... And we need to find this leader... If there really are friendlies out there, we need to find that Pokémon... Because we’re going to need all the help we can get to win this...”
