Unconditional ~*~ His soulful brown eyes I cannot resist Baby soft skin that just begs to be kissed An innocence of self, depicted in his way His heart held inside, never on display A deep tell-tale scar hidden atop his lip A reminder common sense sometimes can slip Calloused hands show years of hard work Always waiting for a break, a bonus, a perk On the outside, appears young for his age On the inside, a child being held in a cage Slight wrinkles begin to show on well-tanned skin The scars of a fight that old man time will win This man, my husband, on which I can depend his love for me unconditional, forever, without end ~*~
