In The Moonlight
First attempt at the Grossblank form. A mysterious, romantic poem.

They danced beneath the stars while others watched entranced
With jealous eyes agleam in moonlight, hearts about
To burst. They held each other close, their shadows merged—
A darkened pillar through the shining lunar bars.
Their whispers twisted on the wind through willow trees,
Unheard by those surrounding them, a wall of eyes.

They felt alone, their hearts in sync and breathing quick;
The air exhaled as ice, a shroud of mist; their tryst
Almost concealed. They felt each other's satin skin
As drops of dew began to bead in velvet hair.
Their souls met through the dappled clearing, fused as one.
While others watched entranced, they danced beneath the stars.
