MY VIEW FROM BELOW
3/27/2008 ENTRY IN CHILDREN'S CONTEST POETDONTKNOWIT
by POETDONTKNOWIT

I finally found out, what these stick's on my body are for
I've saw mommy and daddy use their own for different things,
The two sticks on the top, go round, or up and down
The two on the bottom, go fast, when their box jobbie rings

I also watch them closely, put weird stuff into the round hole
The same one that when I'm hungry, they put my bottle in,
Why is all that I get, is the white, stinky, runny stuff
While they get different shapes, over and over again

I still don't get the part, why my mommy stands on her stick's
And clear peepee squirts out of that monster inside the wall,
While all along, I'm below her, in a hard plastic funny chair
I can't figure out why she doesn't go boom, and fall

Then there is that giant square thing, that opens if you turn the ball
Other big people, are on the other side, I can hear them knock,
Then mommy or daddy go to it, and they say come in
Who are these stranger dangers, I always begin to really bawl

I'm growing everyday, I'm probably now, about ten inches high
I can stand on my own two stick's, I now know what they are for,
And now I get to eat shaped things, and sip from a monkey cup
Even pick up fuzzy stuff, and eat it right off of the floor!
