I would rather feel close to you than at one with the stands and pronouncements I have made.  I would rather rush to understand and stumble, than withdraw in perfect virtue and remain upright.
I would rather make a thousand offerings to friendship and have none returned, than make one empty gesture to my ego.
I would rather be alive, than right!

#2

Whether bodies stay together is meaningless to love.
Whether bodies separate is meaningless to freedom.
But whether two people turn against each other- that is everything!

#3

What is the sacrifice, if friendship grows?  What is lost, if love fills the void?

#4

This fear that we can lose our identity in another's love for us is not only mistaken, but totally upside down.  I know this beyond all doubt when I am with you.  Every time I loosen my grip on my own personal importance and sprawl into this puddle of clarity called devotion, I come out brilliantly myself!

#5

A honeymoon is a strange concept.
It's supposed to be the sweetest part of the venture, when it's new, when there's much to uncover.
When uncovered, I am left with what?  A half moon?
How foolish I was to have thought I could have loved you more when I did not yet know you!

#6

...a caress should say I love you, not pay off a debt...
An embrace should fill the heart, as well as the arms.
