Always Waiting...
Madness is always waiting.

Laughing, howling, grieving madness,
Prowls 'round the corners of my brain.
Silent voyeur, always waiting,
Licking her lips -- she is insane.

Fighting tethers, placed around her,
Held fast by fragile threads of hope.
Eagerly waiting the moment -
I am weak and I cannot cope.

Shrieking, ranting, raving sorrow,
Torn out for all the world to see.
Praying that no one will notice -
I call her the dark side of me.
