When I awaken from peaceful slumber,
I am reminded that you are no longer. Just a figment of my imagination, Conjured up for my salvation. But in that time of twilight rest Thoughts of you that were suppressed Will suddenly appear; It's almost as if you are here. When the day breaks, I go through the motions, Of everyday life, suffering with so many emotions. Sweet memories of you, even your flaws - You're all that I am; all I ever was. But then you appear as the night falls, And you tear down the walls Within my dreamy visions Put in place from my collisions. Like a new love that just began, I'll feel what it's like, once again, To be loved the way I should As only you could.
