Our Joy
One of my first poems if you can call it that, written when in 12th grade many years ago.

You know it is a funny thing how we
take for granted a mellow breeze
on a warm spring day.

Sometimes ignoring it all together,
just before it blows away.

Was it just a breeze, or was it a sign
of the universe to turn our attention
into another direction.

Perhaps a message to us, a very
important piece of a puzzle,
to this life.

Each piece we figure out will bring,
us more light in the scheme of
the circle of life.

But, only if we clear our minds, and then
open our hearts to all possibilities.

Will we free the spirit from within, so it
may lead us into the joy we are meant
to find here.
