Heart Breaking

Can you hear a heart break?

Hearts break
Every day;
A part of life.
Reality at its worst,
Threatening our happiness.

Beating heart
Ruptured, torn in two.
Emotions, once high,
Await abdication.
Kiss me goodbye,
In this final meeting.
Never to see me again;
Go on with your life.

  Written for entry in "Invalid Item" .  Prompts for Round 9 were acrostic (form) and Heart Breaking (title).  This poem came in Second Place!  A 10k awardicon (which happens to be in my favorite color - how did they know?) and 5,000 gift points were awarded.
