Transformation
This poem describes the change in the earth as spring begins.

Roots and bulbs begin to stir as melting snow leaves the Earth bare.
Pushing through winter's frozen ground into the sunshine warmed air
The tips of new spring perennials stretch upward rejoicing.
The days are longer growing, and the golden orb is glowing.
Tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils decorate my garden
With pinks and reds, purples and blues, yellows and oranges again.
Trees, standing bare, will become resplendent when new buds open.
Aphrodite has begun to decorate her home with flair
A butterfly fluttering by and a robin twittering
The seasons have come full circle - the Earth is alive again.
