The Lost Love
The love of my life.... Gone

This tear-stained memory
renovates bruises on my heart.
The lost love in all its glory
fated from the start.

A whirlwind; indeed the rapture
to engulf all consciousness.
In that gaze I was captured.
He was propitious-less.

A score of years is not sufficient
for love's pure force of nature.
Alas we weren't omniscient.
Now my soul's wrapped in a glacier
