My Dad's Shoes

My Dad walked all alone and his shadow was long.
A man among men he was respectable back then.
His big shoes left a heavy print where ever he went.
Others men would listen when he voiced his opinion.

With a soft and gentle voice he spoke his view point.
I would grow up and know what made my Dad go.
The words he spoke I've put in my poems I've wrote.
What my Dad taught will stay forever in my thoughts.

My shoes are smaller and my shadow is not taller.
I'll stand tall and be there for all the families cares.
I could never fill his shoes still I must do my dues.
Follow my Dad's foot steps they've passed all tests.
