Fall
Very short. Easy reading. I hesitate to call it finished.

The semi-corpses fall down from unimaginable heights; half dead and fully dead dry bodies floating down slowly from the sky. Most are deceased and dry, their frail forms crunching under the heavy stomp of sacrilegious feet. Others are not yet fully gone. They retain some life merely to surround themselves with the dead, watching the decay of the others’ bodies along with their own. Slowly, earthy flesh turns to crumb and dust, dispersing into the wind and easily forgotten. No impressions are made by these billion bodies. Their corpses exist merely to fuel the next era.
