Twilight Blush

An array of colors
highlighting the sky.
Pink, orange, red, purple~
accentuate the setting sun.

A warm glow
with familiar rays,
that hold you close
like a hug from a friend.

Fire in the sky,
clouds set ablaze
while the glowing embers
dance over the ocean.

A bright orb
takes center stage
as dusk begins
to oust the day.

The sun dips
beneath the horizon,
giving way to the
twilight blush.

Darkness falls
in stunned silence.
Stars emerge to
speckle the heavens.

The moon wakes
intensifying celestial space.
Meteors blast through,
for dreamers to wish upon.
