Tainted Rose
Feeling let down by someone who should have protected me. Form: Etheree.

The                                                                      
seed of                                                                      
love inside                                                            
my heart began                                                            
to grow, for it was                                                  
nurtured by your caring                                                  
hands. I felt protected in                                                  
your warm embrace, a child about                              
to blossom. Unconditional love                                        
poured from your soul to mine and helped me bloom.

Then betrayal came and lurked in corners,
dark—a monster born to feed on hearts                              
and shadow minds. The petals of                              
my love began to wilt. I                                                  
felt you slipping from my                                        
reach, my sight and now                                        
you're gone. My tears                                                  
can't save this
tainted
rose.
