ANCIENT WISDOM: editor's choice
Two aspects of nature. |
| ANCIENT WISDOM Ancient wisdom told man that Nature could not be won. He came to dread fire and winds And the mighty earthquakes. Nascent wisdom told him that Nature is powerful. He sought to harness power And made the mighty bomb. Primal wisdom told him that, More than outer nature, His own nature within him Was a mightier force. Feelings of greed and anger, Lust and vain ambition, Mixed with religious hatred Are difficult to win. From ancient time to modern, The struggle continues. Man wants to subdue Nature But won’t control his own. • Written in 7-6-7-6 format • Showcased in Spiritual Newsletter dated 29 May 2008. M C Gupta 13 April 2008 |
