O there she stands receiving bread
Resplendent in her white Tiara perched upon her head Casts off the candlelight Once this received she takes the cup Raised slowly to her lip And vowing faith with all her heart She takes a tiny sip For weeks she's learned what she must do And what one word to say A solemn rite she passes now This First Communion Day
