"Black and White"
Why do you see the world in just black and white?

Why do you see the world in just black and white?
Can't you see the colors between faded and bright?
You say it's their fault when anything goes wrong,
But what's gone on between the lines all along?
Life won't let it be that simple and clear.
You just say what you feel out of fear.
Should those who have only known roads lost,
Be destined to earn an eternal cost?
It's the same old story over and over again.
Just another mind to follow the jaded trend.
You say that they are the only ones to blame,
If they don't know how to win in their own game.
Born with the cards against their every move,
You don't care when you've got a point to prove.
What about those born to know only miseries?
They didn't ask where to be placed as babies.
But what would you know or even understand?
You've never lived on this side of the land.
It's easier for to look away and stay this way.
Shut your eyes again, so you won't feel sorry today.
You don't lift a hand to mend the broken,
Because you claim they created this end.
You've got your morals and your comfort friends.
You shun everyone that is not just like you.
You choose to look past what they go through.
You hide behind a verse twisted to suit you,
So all of the their ways you can judge untrue.
I'm tired of all of these pages of just black and white,
And how to continue to close your eyes while you write.
