Sleeping With Angels
I wrote this poem for my friend Jeri Larson who recently passed away from cancer.

Sleeping With Angels

As I lie down
in my bed
with angels beside me,

I close my eyes
then suddenly
I can hear them
softly breathing.

I hear their
gentle whispers
the flutter of
their wings,

I feel the warmth
of their closeness,

Calmness and serenity
surround us,

With eyes closed,
we say goodnight,

Peace be with us
till morning light.
