As the night dew falls
My thoughts wonder back To a time so different from now To strong hands that caress So gently but yet Hold the grown child safe in your arms My solemn vow To be different somehow Be bold and strong and trust Give me a chance To say goodbye To put the past to rest Give me some closure See me again Hold me just one more time Hug me close and make me smile Before the wedges and stress of us Just quietly, gently and kind and yet No expectations in sight Enjoy each moment Wake up; a new outlook on life
