YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY FRIENDS OR "G" GUITAR STRINGS
Life has a way of going up for a while and down for a while. When you're up, it's easy to say yes or no and pick and choose, But when you're down, your friends start to scatter 'Cause they don't like to lose. Now I'm talking 'bout way down, where it gets real hard, Where there's just so much to go 'round. Some people can make ya feel like a hobo been run out of town. Now that's not to say these people are bad. They just haven't been up or down enough to have developed any character. That's right! You're not born with that stuff. Character is developed by winning and losing. You see a rich fella can have character on his yacht while he's cruisin', And a poor fella can have it in the alley while he's boozin'. I know the joy and revelry when I'm in the midst of a real good sing-- And I also know the feeling, when I break my last "G" string.
