If I had a penguin heart,
I'd fly through the water of the ocean,
Diving fearlessly for that one slippery fish,
Moving my flippers in a powerful ballet.
If I had a penguin heart,
I'd slide down snow hills carelessly,
Unwilling to let the land defeat me,
Taking snow and ice in waddling stride.
If I had a penguin heart,
I'd deal with adversity gracefully,
Swimming off to fight another day,
Avoiding the leopard seals and killer whales.
If I had a penguin heart,
I'd huddle with my friends,
Taking and giving warmth,
Sharing all that I can for those I love.
If I had a penguin heart,
I'd take each day as it comes,
Accepting each thing that comes my way,
Being the best little penguin I could.
