A PATH TO YOU: a sonnet
A path to You is what I strive to find, So that I reach You ere my time is up. I know that fathers are to children kind, Please show Your kindness, fill my empty cup. I walked the road of life as I thought fit, I never bothered to fulfill Your wish. Of this one hope I had been sure a bit That without water You won't keep Your fish. But now that my days seem to be but few, I wish to disengage from this world now. I want to change my direction anew, So that I reach You and Your grace somehow. I seek your pardon, Lord forgive my sins And please make sure that Satan never wins. *Written for Rose's Poetry Challenge, "Invalid Item" M C Gupta 18 April 2008
