The Heart of a Child
Rated: E | Poetry | Opinion | #1416192
A poem about the innocence of children
The heart of a child
So pure and innocent
No worries of how
Money is spent

The love of a child
So sweet and kind
Exploring, not knowing
What they will find

The mind of a child
Such imagination
So loving of all
No discrimination

The soul of a child
No desire to sin
Always the good sport
Not needing to win

The eyes of a child
Seeing good in everyone
Thinking life is
Just for having fun

Peter Pan knew
What he was doing
Growing up is
Much too construing

The heart of a child
I wish it could be
A pure childs' heart
Inside of me
