Walk beside me and take my hand.
Our two lives can blend into one. On my finger, a simple gold band. Things are happening the way we planned. We don't regret what we have done. Walk beside me and take my hand. Your hair, the color of sand. A love like ours, most would shun. On my finger, a simple gold band. Around us, no one seems to understand. Neither of us lost; we both won. Walk beside me and take my hand. All of the memories are grand. We are plagued by the strength of the sun. On my finger, a simple gold band. A sudden cool breeze and we are fanned. You say, "What would I do without you, Hon?" Walk beside me and take my hand. On my finger, a simple gold band.
