Summer Picnic

A warm and gentle breeze blowing soft through the trees.
The sun is shining bright.
A perfect summer's day, a picnic on the bay.
Birds are taking flight.

Our blanket on the grass; sweet wine to fill our glass.
Who could ask for much more?
White clouds go floating by; Yum; ham and cheese on rye!
Seagulls rising, soar.

Skies are now turning gray; the trees begin to sway.
Oh! Now the wine has spilled!
Raindrops begin to fall; soon they'll be soaking all.
Our joy, it has been killed!

Loud thunder is rumbling: God mad, must be Grumbling!
Swiftly pack it up; run!
An avalanche of hail; our heads it does assail!
There goes our day of fun!
