Dandelions

My little child skipped out today,
To run and jump and hop and play;
Then stopped and giggled with delight,
At little orbs of glad sunlight
All nestled down in beds of green.

Bright dandelions where everywhere!
They beckoned here and beckoned there;
Calling, calling, "Come, pick me!",
Fill childrens' hands and hearts
With glee! Then...
Bring their treasures home to me!
