Stage Fright
A poem about stage fright.

"Stage Fright"

I take a deep breath
and step onto the stage.
The laughing and shouting stops;
all eyes and ears are on me,
expecting from me more than I can give.
Doubt slowly creeps into my brain

"I can do this..."
The words sound empty,
quickly escaping my thoughts;
fear and panic replace them.

The crowd awaits...
