Missing Pieces

I stop and look around to find you,
where can you be?
A piece of you is gone,
I need you to complete me.

I look in the upstairs closet, the playroom and under your bed,
If I can't find you what will I do?
I start to panic, I re-trace your last steps in my head.

I am frantic now.....my heart starts beating faster and faster.
I have to find out where you are to avoid a disaster.

I look and search every day,
I already know I won't find you anyway.

Time goes by....day by day,
year after year.
All I can do is hold onto you in my thoughts to keep you near.
