Air that warms the earth,
Takes the snow leftover. Time to prep the earth. Time to break the ground. Gardening tools at my side, Nurturing young and fragile flowers. The pansies with bright colors, The hyacinth already in bloom, Clementis growing towards the sun, Roses yet to bloom. Welcome back, my feathered friends And the young you soon will bear. Doves, woodpeckers, chickadees, Finches, gold and red, Nuthatches, juncos, and titmouse Grace us with their songs. The yard is full of life, Plants and birds alike, Deer on way to other meadows, Turkeys and their young, All welcome in their journeys. Welcome, Spring, welcome! You are greeted with open arms. You give the Earth renewed life And wait on Summer's return.
