Solitude
Staring down at the blank page the seconds

Staring down at the blank page the seconds
trot away with each tick tock of the clock.

The minutes then fading into hours lost...
hours into days... days changing into weeks...
weeks grow into months...'til suddenly, years
lope off with my solitude destroyed.

Paragraphs arranged; a story to tell
the tick tock of the clock fading with words
taking life back a line at a time, 'til
solitude returns with my peace of mind.
