WHAT IS LOVE? -- a mirage.
What is love? Just a mirage, Lovely from a distance. Don't come nigh, nor touch nor test, It's easily shattered. What is love? A looking glass, Casting a reflection. But the reflection itself Is just that, not real. What is love? Ephemeral Display of emotions. Just a jerk and it breaks down, Like flimsy gossamer. What is love? A rose petal, Hiding a thorn behind. Kiss the rose and you get pricked. So unfaithful is love! * Written in 7-6-7-6 format. * Initially written as entry 358715 in the book LOVE POEMS, "LOVE POEMS" M C Gupta 14 January 2005
