Christian stands on the battlefield fighting for his life; his sacred blade slicing through his opponents with ease. Christian was soaked in his enemies blood his leather pants had blood splattered all over them he tore his shirt off and had bits of blood on his chest, Blood all in his hair even as he stands tired from taking his enemies down he saw more coming by the thousands he could see no end in sight. The sickly sweet smell of the blood made his stomach turn, but there was no way he was going to give up now, not when he was so close. He watched as the thousands came charging forth screaming an unearthly howl of a war cry, and though he knew there was no other way to get what he wanted without doing this, it did not make the feeling of sorrow lessen any. Christian held his blade out toward the enemy and charged forth as he was about to slice into another enemy he remembered how all this began…

Chapter 1

A Love Story

Christian had been a happy soul not a care in the world; he lived in the town of Argowrath. The sun shown bright always nice and clear warm weather Christian was in love with to him the most beautiful woman that ever existed; her name was Seleska.  Seleska was beautiful she has a tan complexion, black hair with red streaks, she had a smile to die for, her laugh was sweet and high-pitched, she had a medium sized nose that Christian loved to grab tickling her sending chills down her spine from his touch, and she always smelled sweet from her lavender perfume she wore.

They had been together for seven years, Christian finally asked her to marry him on their anniversary two weeks ago when she said “Yes.” Christian ran around the village yelling from the top of his lungs “SELESKA SAID YESSSSS.” Everyone was happy for them. Christian’s family loved her, his mom especially; the whole village got together and held a feast in honor of Christian and Seleska’s nuptials. As everyone sat feasting a dark shadow covered their village, little did they know that as they sat celebrating the engagement, deep in the north the evil King Damascus planned on taking over the world with the Mystic Crystals he acquired from deep within the evil forest of Eternia.

Christian looked across the giant table with the wonderful food that filled the air with mouth-watering smells of food cooked to perfection at his beautiful wife to be, he watched her laugh and joke with everyone remembering the first time they met. How he tried talking to her but kept sputtering, he remembered the amused look on her beautiful face, her wonderful brown eyes in the sun, and the little smudge of dirt on her cheek from her work in the garden he found her. Christian had come to ask his mother’s friend Martine about coming to help her with her garden. Christian had heard about Martine having a daughter but never saw her before now, this was all seven years ago.

Christian snapped back to the present time but as he watched Seleska, time seemed to slow down. Seleska looked across the table at Christian and mouthed, I love you. Christian smiled, and then mouthed I love you more. They were shook from their moment in time by the scream of one of the village people.

Everyone looked around to find where the scream had come from, and found Cleo a fourteen-year-old girl Christian knew who had catlike features from her yellow oval eyes. Always bright looking as if they could see through to your very soul to her beautiful multicolored; black, gold, and brown hair that went down to her shoulders that went great with her dark chocolate skin complexion. Cleo screamed because of the darkness that crept slowly, surrounding the feasting table, Christian stood then went over to Seleska grabbed her hand and said “ I love you my love, I’ll never let you go…my body my die but my love for you stays eternal.” Christian leaned down and kissed Seleska gently on the lips.

A strange rumbling began it seemed to be coming from the darkness; the villagers began to scatter going into their homes. Christian and Seleska were running for Christian’s house when a monster appeared and grabbed at Seleska. Christian hit the massive beast that stood seven to eight feet tall, broad shouldered with scaly skin and claws for hands, the beast not seemingly phased by the hit from Christian continued its pursuit for Seleska. Seleska not being one to let someone fight for her began to join Christian in hitting the monster all Seleska and Christian got back in response was a low growl. More monsters began popping up all over the village, but they went after no-one but Seleska, seeing this Christian grabbed Seleska by the hand and they both ran, another monster jumped in front of them and back handed Christian sending him crashing to the ground hard, he got back up only to be hit again.

When Christian stood back up he could taste the blood coming from his lip, a rusty metallic like taste, one of the monsters said, with a raspy voice “Fight all you want, you can not win. We just want the princess.” Christian said after spitting out the blood that began to fill his mouth “What are you talking about? There’s no princess here!”
“King Damascus doesn’t lie boy! I know she’s here, I can smell her.” The monster said. Christian ‘s body felt hot like he was on fire every nerve n his body seemed to come to life like never before, he jump kicked one of the monsters blocking him from Seleska, Seleska herself was fighting off one of the monsters grabbing at her.

Christian made it over to Seleska hitting the lizard she was fighting with; sending the lizard man flying, this surprised the Lizard men. Seleska stared at Christian and was about to say something when one of the monsters suddenly appeared behind her then hit her knocking her to the ground unconscious.  At the same time, three of the Lizard men jumped him after clearing them off him, Christian tried to get to her but the remaining Lizard men blocked him. Christian saw one of the Lizard men, move toward Seleska.

Christian let a roar escape his mouth then rushed for the Lizard men blocking his way they pounced on him, the Lizard man that had approached Seleska picked her up, and put her over his shoulder then shouted, “ We have what we came for.” Christian stood picking up the nearest Lizard man up with strength he did not know he had, but was beat in the back by another making him fall face first in the ground. When he was on his feet, again the darkness that was all around and the Lizard men were all gone.

Christian began screaming “SELESKA!, SELESKA!!, SELESKA!!!” she didn’t answer, Christian made his mind up then and there that he was going to get the love of his life back no matter what…
