Journaling for Guys
I'm Ben the oldest of seven. There are six boys and one girl. Some people think it is girly to write a journal. I think it is a good way to remember childhood days and to write down what the Lord is teaching you.
By the way I'm twenty three. There is me, Todd, Paul, Caleb, Josh, Timothy and our only sister Hannah. There is two years in between each of us kids.
I remember when my mom found out the she was going to have Hannah. Mom loves us boys but she wanted a girl. We knew it was the boy's job to protect mom and any girls if there was going to be any. So as soon as mom and Hannah got home from the hospital the protection police started. All of us boys even young Tim stood around the house and kept all the bad people away from our sister. We also played all the other stuff little boys played. As Hannah grew up she joined us in all our games.
Mom taught us older kids and is still teaching the younger ones.
In my senior year of high school I went to a junior college. After high school I worked with my Grandfather who is a landscaper. During this year I had been praying for the Lord to show me what he wanted me to do. When I was about seventeen I started having Bible studies with my siblings. We learned a lot during those times. Then I started teaching the young boys Sunday school class. Just studying the lessons the Lord showed me a lot of stuff. The Lord directed me to a Bible College in Oklahoma. So I went school to study being a youth pastor. As I went into college I started praying that God would show me the girl that I was to marry. During my second year of college the Lord showed me Katy. We are married and just had our first anniversary. I have learned a lot in twenty three years. It is neat to go back and look at all the answers to prayer and the many blessing the Lord poured on me. God is awesome!



Yall know this is a fiction story but I wanted to encourage you guys to write down things the Lord has taught you, blessing in your life and answers to prayer. I have been doing this for the past couple of years. It is so neat to see God work in my life.
