TWO WAY STREETS

You say let us play cricket
And then you start batting.
You want to hit the ball but,
Fielding, you never want.

You say let us talk and then
You express a viewpoint.
When I give a counterpoint,
You merely keep silent.

You say let us love and then,
After planting the seed,
You say that your job is done,
The baby is now mine!

Cricket, conversation and
Love are all two way streets.
You can't simply bumble in
Like a whimsical bull.
