There was a little goose
and she always got loose.
Liked to have fun all day
run, play, run, play and play.

One day her mom did say,
"don’t always run and play.
Daddy's being a jerk;
you have to do some work."

The silly little goose
got her head in a noose.
Can’t run and play all day,
just work, work, work away.

"I don't want to work, work,
daddy's being a jerk.
I want to run and play
daddy's ruining my day."

Silly Little goose egg,
she faked a broken leg.
"I want to play," she said,
"I'm not going to bed."

Now the little goose egg
would cry, beg, beg, beg.
Her mamma told her, “no,
now you must learn to sew."

"I want to run and play
but in bed I must stay.
I think I'll pretend to...
oh well, sewing will do.”
