Through the darkness of my heart a celestial light had shown
That beautiful angel's image into my mind did seep
Telling her forevermore after those feelings were honed
          "My heart you shall always keep"

The moments maybe fleeting when we're together
The seconds racing away
But with you in my arms I feel a warmth that'll last forever
In my heart it shall always stay

Each time we part my heart is burning, yearning
To glimpse the heaven in your eyes
As your lips linger on mine the world stops its turning
Time stopping, letting us be close, the ultimate prize

So as the night casts me away for a time
I pray your tears won't be at their prime
