Began at daybreak The ground did shake It's an earthquake Where can we hide? Dust in the air My throat, my hair A scream somewhere "Help me!" it cries. As darkness falls I hear the calls Through crumbled walls We're trapped inside. Written after 10,000 people died in a 7.9 richter earthquake in China on 12 May, 2008. Written for "12 may, 2008"
