SOLILOQUY

The inevitable,
the greatest of all my fears.

Death.
Thoughts of it bring me to tears.

It comes unexpected,
creeping slowly in its way.

Death.
Here it comes, looking for prey.

The unavoidable,
it's here, knocking on my door.

Death.
My time on earth is no more.

And as the curtain falls,
I say my last words-- "Good bye."

Death.
At last, we meet eye to eye!
