A LONG WAY HOME

Lord, I see the sunset now.
I have a long way home.
But, shadows are lengthening.
In wilderness I roam.

Lord, the night is dark and long
And I don’t have much time.
I should have started early,
That was my duty prime.

Lord, only you can save me.
Kindly do hold my hand.
My steps are weak and falter.
I am lost in the sand.

Lord, show me your kindly light
And guide me unto you.
The world has forsaken me,
Yours is the abode true.
